Description
1398 Scenic Railroad. The Conway Scenic Railroad is based just a bit south of us and is hugely popular with tourists as well as locals. This view by photographer Johnathan Lee Mortenson shows the âNotch Trainâ at its destination about 35 miles away, Crawford Depot. After leaving the iconic North Conway station, the train wends its way up through gorgeous scenery, shown here in fall foliage. Thereâs an exciting crossing over 80â high Frankenstein Trestle â spanning 500â from cliff to cliff - and then on to Crawfordâs. At an elevation of approximately 1900 feet, the notch itself and the pioneering Crawford family have a fascinating history. 1,000 piece puzzle with a finished size of 24â x 30â.
