Help the Princesses (Japan Import)
Import game from Japan
The gluttonous Demon King has taken the princess of each country of sweets! Rescue the princesses from the Demon King and get everyone's sweets back.Â
Playing the Game
One person will play the role of the Demon King, and the rest will play the role of the rescuers.
(The role of the Demon King will rotate.)
Shuffle the Princess cards and place [number of players + 1] princess cards face up in a row on the table. The Demon King player places the O and X cards face down in a row underneath the princess cards.
Rescuers take turns flipping over the cards beneath the princesses in a clockwise order around the table
If the rescuer flips over a circle card, they will get the princess card above the card they flipped over, and if they flip over an x, they will fail and do not take a card.
You can ask the Demon King questions, but they're also free to lie, so you'll have to read each other's minds.
After all the rescuers have flipped a card the Demon King player flips the remaining two cards and gets a princes card for each O as before (maximum of 2 cards). Discard all the X princesses to a discard pile. Then the person to the left of the Demon King becomes the new Demon King.Â
If there are not enough cards for the next round, shuffle the discard pile this becomes the new draw pile.Â
It's fun to read between the lines, thinking, "They'll probably want this, so I'll put an X here."
Scoring
â‘ Earn 1 point for each type of princess card
â‘¡ If you collect the most princess cards of each type, you will earn 1 point for each princess card.
The person with the highest total score of â‘ and â‘¡ wins.
If the score is the same, the player with the most princesses wins.
